PRE-NUPTIAL AGREEMENTS

Simon Johnson has written an article on Pre-Nuptial Agreements.

The Court of Appeal's decision in 'Radmacher v Granatino', handed down on 2 July, will encourage couples contemplating marriage to consider guarding against the financial risks of divorce by agreeing in advance arrangements for settling the financial issues that will arise should the marriage fail. A strong Court of Appeal unanimously held that the trial judge was wrong not to give, 'decisive weight' to the parties' pre-nuptial agreement.
