Practice Profile:Kate joined Chambers following her successful completion of Pupillage under the supervision of Sita Cox and Simon Johnson. Kate quickly gained experience in all of Chambers’ core areas of practice, but in particular has developed a busy practice in Family Law; Kate accepts instructions in Private and Public Children Act work, Ancillary Relief and Family Law Act matters. Kate also has experience acting in Civil matters and has a particular interest in Employment and Housing Law. Kate has advised on and drafted Grounds of Appeal in Employment Law matters and represented clients in Discrimination, TUPE and Unfair Dismissal cases. Kate is also regularly instructed by local housing associations in Housing Law matters. Prior to joining Chambers, Kate worked for Sussex Probation and also undertook numerous Pro Bono work, acting as an advisor for the National Centre for Domestic Violence and BPP Pro Bono Unit.
