George sits as a Deputy High Court Judge and Recorder. In his practice, George specialises in personal injury and professional and medical negligence, and is the originator of the "McDonnell Letter" (Claimant's payment in).

His other specialist area is judicial review, including administrative tribunals, dairy quotas, education, government departments, immigration and local authorities. Another area of interest is the Canon Law of the Church of England. George was formerly junior counsel to the Crown (common law), defending judicial review and damages claims for the Crown.
